The ICC/ESOMAR International Code.
The ICC/ESOMAR International Code is the trusted global benchmark for ethical conduct in market research, opinion research, and data analytics. Established jointly by the International Chamber of Commerce and ESOMAR in 1977 and most recently revised in 2025, it is recognized by over 60 associations in more than 50 countries.
The 2025 revision explicitly addresses the responsible use of AI and synthetic data, self-service research platforms, data minimization, and the need for human oversight — making it directly relevant to how mypinio operates.

The five principles we commit to.
Diligence and protection from harm
Respondents must not suffer material, psychological, or reputational harm from participating in research. We apply this principle across every product — from surveys to community discussions.
Data protection and privacy first
Personal data is collected only to the extent necessary for the research purpose. We support data minimization, anonymization, and full GDPR compliance across the platform.
Transparency and accountability
We disclose our methods, data sources, and limitations clearly. AI-generated and synthetic data is always identified as such — never presented as real human responses without context.
Human oversight of AI
Where AI is used in research workflows — for analysis, synthesis, or data generation — human oversight remains in place. AI assists. Humans are responsible for the research.

Synthetische Forschung — klar gekennzeichnet
mypinio Synthetic Research generiert KI-gestützte Personas und simulierte Umfrageantworten für Test- und Validierungszwecke. Synthetische Daten sind immer eindeutig gekennzeichnet – sie werden niemals ohne explizite Kennzeichnung mit echten Panel-Daten vermischt oder als solche präsentiert.
Panel-Mitglieder – informiert und bereit
Jedes Mitglied des mypinio-Panels hat sich explizit zur Teilnahme an Forschung angemeldet. Mitglieder werden über den Zweck jeder Studie, ihr Recht auf Widerruf und die Verwendung ihrer Daten informiert. Keine irreführende Rekrutierung, keine Dark Patterns.
AI-Analyse — transparente Methodik
Wenn der mypinio AI Analyst Erkenntnisse oder Berichte generiert, sind die Methodik und Datenquellen sichtbar. Wir präsentieren KI-generierte Schlussfolgerungen nicht als unabhängig überprüfte Ergebnisse — der Forscher bleibt für die Interpretation verantwortlich.
Anonymisierung — in die Architektur integriert
Programme zur Mitarbeitererfahrung umfassen obligatorische Anonymisierung mit minimalen Antwortschwellen. Einzelne Antworten sind für Manager nie sichtbar. Datenschutz ist strukturell, nicht eine Einstellung.

mypinio verpflichtet sich freiwillig zum ICC/ESOMAR International Code on Market, Opinion and Social Research and Data Analytics. Obwohl wir noch keine formale ESOMAR-Mitgliedsorganisation sind, adoptieren wir diesen Kodex, weil er unsere Werte widerspiegelt — ehrliche Forschung, geschützte Befragte, transparente Methodik und verantwortungsvoller Technologieeinsatz. Wir glauben, dass die Forschungsindustrie nur so wertvoll ist wie das Vertrauen, das sie verdient.
